To save money, I tried to demolish the old finished basement myself…you could imagine my shock when a large portion of the wall caved in. I called Kevin and he immediately arranged for the structural engineer to come over with our architect. Working closely with the Engineer, he devised a plan to let us to continue living in the house during the much expanded project, and also arranged to remediate our attached neighbours’s foundation at the same time.

    This was a very difficult project, requiring a very high level of expertise. The before and after is astounding and we and our neighbours are relieved and thrilled with the final result. The window wells and the new walkout are stunning and we have a finished ceiling height of allmost to 9ft! We would recommend Tall Basements in a heartbeat.

They have been pioneers in modern professional techniques, and have been interviewed by CBC News regarding proper methods for safely executing underpinning projects. Tony and Kevin are creators of proprietary equipment that allows safe and secure deepening of basements with significantly greater usable living space.

ANTONIO ESTEVES

Antonio has been boots-on-the-ground for numerous underpinning jobs and has extensive working experience on all aspects of the underpinning process. Along with Kevin, he has developed proprietary forms that enable secure foundations to be built with no benching, allowing for greatly extended usable area in underpinned basements. He is also an experienced plumber with specific expertise in proper drain installation for deep basements.

KEVIN ROBINSON

Kevin has 25 years of experience in building, working on numerous high end projects across the GTA . He has been planning and executing underpinning projects exclusively for the past decade. In that time he has worked closely with many designers, architects, and engineers. He has a broad scope of experience in construction methods as well as associated fields, such as electrical and lighting.
